Eleazar Oceguera Jr., age 45, passed away on November 9, 2025, in Lincoln, Nebraska at Bryan Medical Center West.

Eleazar was a caring father, loving son, and brother. He was born on February 26, 1980, in Tyler, Texas, to Irene (Alejo) and Eleazar Oceguera Sr. He attended Lakeview Senior High School and later earned an Associate Degree in Information Technology from Central Community College.

Eleazar had many loves in life: music that spoke to his soul, fashion that reflected his confidence, and the peace he found while fishing or working out. Those who knew him will remember his great taste, his strength, and his gift for making others smile. He brought joy, laughter, and authenticity to every room he entered.

A creative at heart, Eleazar expressed his love through the words he wrote and the art he created. His letters and drawings were windows into his spirit—honest, emotional, and full of care for the people he loved.

Above all, Eleazar was a proud and loving father and son. His lessons, humor, and unwavering love will continue to guide and inspire those he leaves behind.

Eleazar is survived by his mother, Irene Oceguera; his sister, Vanessa Oceguera, and her children, Rachel, Amos, and Londyn; his son, Eleazar "Anthony" Oceguera; and his daughters, Aliya Oceguera and Elana McCloskey-Oceguera.

Though Eleazar has left this world, his spirit, laughter, and love will live forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

Eleazar was preceded in death by his father, Eleazar Oceguera Sr.

A celebration of Eleazar's life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus, Nebraska. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a memorial service to immediately follow at 3:00 p.m.
