DruAnn Keating, 67, of Duncan Lakes, died Friday, October 17, 2025, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 23, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with  Pastor Randy Longacre officiating.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home, and on October 23, from 9:30 AM until service time.  In lieu of flowers or plants memorials may be directed to Paws and Claws in Columbus.

DruAnn Keating was born on August 13, 1958, to Hart and Sandra (Drew) Keating in Columbus, NE.  DruAnn graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 1976.  Following high School, Dru obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska – Kearney, and obtained her Masters Degree from the University of Nebraska -Lincoln.   Dru was a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner in affiliation with Columbus Community Hospital and truly loved her work and helping others.  Dru also spent time earlier in her working career at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and at Omni in Columbus.  She spent her life listening to people and their problems -whether as a therapist or a bartender – and always enjoyed helping others.

Dru loved the outdoors, and particularly water activities such as swimming and boating.  She also enjoyed antiques, gardening, and tending to her flowers.  Dru had a very deep love for dogs – especially her constant companion, Jessa.  Dru inherited her sense of humor and love of telling stories from her dad.  She always enjoyed a good laugh.  She could appear gruff at times but had a heart of gold and was a softie that didn't like to show it.
