Dorothea McIntyre, 86, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Monday, February 24, 2025, at Emerald Nursing & Rehab in Columbus.

NOTICE: DUE TO ANTICIPATED WEATHER CONDITIONS, THE SERVICE FOR DOROTHEA MCINTYRE HAS BEEN CHANGED. THERE WILL BE A SERVICE AT GASS HANEY FUNERAL HOME AT 11:00 AM ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5, WITH PASTOR OLLIE FULLMER OFFICIATING. INTERMENT IN ROSELAWN MEMORIAL CEMETERY WILL BE HELD AT A LATER TIME.

Dorothea was born on September 21, 1938, in Howells, Nebraska, to Stephen and Anna (Kmoch) Cech. She graduated high school and attended college. On July 15, 1965, she was united in marriage to John McIntyre Jr. The couple enjoyed traveling the country together, before settling back in Columbus. Dorothea worked for many years at Super Saver in Columbus.

Dorothea was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Anna Cech, her husband, John McIntyre Jr., and brothers Dennis (Marilyn) Cech and Darrel Cech.
