Donna Lou Meierding Stoddard, 89, of Columbus, Nebraska, formerly of North Platte, Nebraska, died Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Edgewood Vista in Columbus.

Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, NE. A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday October 5, 2025 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte, with family receiving friends during that time.

Donna was born on October 27, 1935, the daughter of Clyde H. and Anna Lou (Kelley) Halligan of North Platte, NE.

She was married to Bennie R. Meierding, and to this union three children were born Pamela D., Scott L., and Elizabeth L. She then married Will "Bill" Stoddard and they were married for 33 years.

Donna worked at the First United Methodist Church in North Platte, NE, was Vice President at Columbus Bank and Trust Company, and worked for Allied Tour and Travel. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and knitting in her free time.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Pamela D. (James) McKenney and Elizabeth L. (Rex) Freeman; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; stepson Jerry Stoddard; 2 step-grandsons; and 7 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Bennie R. Meierding; son Scott L. Meierding; grandson Douglas James McKenney; and step-daughters Beverly Elaine Stoddard and Jana Stoddard.
