Dolores Mae Parry, 77, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, August 16, 2024, at Brookestone Acres of Columbus.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 21 at 10:30 AM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home, with Fr. Joe Miksch officiating.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and continue on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until service time, all at the funeral home.

Dolores Mae Parry was born December 22, 1946, in Tilden, Nebraska, to Jerome and Blanche (McIntosh) Schumacher.  She graduated from Genoa High School in 1965 and went on to Dental Assistant School in Lincoln.  Dolores was united in marriage to Eugene Parry on April 4, 1970, in St. Edward, Nebraska.  The couple lived in St. Edward, Schuyler, four years in Texas, before settling in Columbus in 1998.

Dolores worked many jobs over the years, from bookkeeping and accounting, dental assistant, to retiring from Columbus Public Schools in food services, to help provide for the family.  Her family was everything to her, and she did what was needed to support her family.  Dolores enjoyed reading, attending her children's events and then the events of her grandchildren.  She was also a member of the Eagles.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to two special members of the Columbus Hospital Hospice team for their care, love, and support during this battle that Dolores went through - thank you Gina and Casey, you two were wonderful.
