Diane Fish, 85, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Sunday, December 1, 2024, at her home in Columbus, with family by her side.
The funeral service will held on Friday, December 6 at 10:30 AM, at 1C/The Sanctuary, with Pastor Randy Longacre officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue Friday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. Memorials are suggested to Columbus Community Hospital/Hospice, Columbus Cancer Center, or the donor's choice. Diane was born in North Platte, Nebraska, on April 23, 1939, daughter of Robert and Mabelle (Franch) Dickey. She went to school in Colorado and moved to California where she was professional roller skating instructor. Diane taught for 28 years before becoming a mobile home park manager and worked at a thrift store.
At speed skating competition in Denver, Colorado, Diane met Jim Fish. Through the years, this relationship grew, and on December 21, 1955, Diane and Jim were united in marriage in Denver. Diane and Jim moved to Nebraska in 2002 to be near family. Diane worked at Prairie Village, Tooley's, Apogee and Regina's Kitchen. Diane enjoyed decorating, crafts, playing Bingo, and her flowers. She loved to be around family and friends and enjoyed going shopping at thrift stores. She was loved by everyone and lit up the room when she walked in.

Daughter – Judy (Brad) Hinrichs of Columbus, NE
Son-in-law – Rich Rowland of Marysville, CA
Grandchildren – Paul Scurti, Tania (Ryan) Guthmann, Katrina Houston, Brandon Hinrichs, Michael (Jessica) Rowland, and Amber (Kevin) Stary
14 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great- Grandchildren
