Christine M. (Kaasch) Heins, age 63, of Columbus, passed away on Saturday May 25th, 2024, at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, surrounded by loved ones.

A memorial service will be held on June 14 at 3:30 PM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Wapelhorst officiating.  The family will greet friends from 2:30 PM until service time the afternoon of the service.  A celebration of Christine's life will continue at the American Legion following the memorial service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Christine was born on July 1st, 1960, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to her parents Patricia A. Graus and Michael J. Kaasch. In 1970, along with her parents and three 3 siblings - Michael, John, and Patrick, moved to Columbus. While Christine attended Scotus Central Catholic High School, she was a cheerleader and graduated in 1978. Christine was an instructor of taekwondo at Nautilus for several years and later attended Central Community College, obtaining a degree in nursing.

Christine made her home in Columbus, where she raised four kids, Nicole, Crystal, Robbie, and Ana. She watched countless dance recitals, football, and baseball games, and many other activities, you could always hear her in the crowd. Christine was most proud to be a grandma and recently became a great grandma, traveling to Cleveland whenever she could, to spend time with them. Christine was a follower of Christ and loved her church families and bible studies. She enjoyed riding her bike and staying active. Something we all remember, if you knew her at all, you knew she was never on time for anything.

Her departure comes as a great shock and is felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply.

Christine was survived by her 4 children Nicole Moore (Mike) of Ohio, Crystal Neale (Tucker) of Ohio, Analeisha Androyna (Nevin) of Lincoln, and Robbie Androyna (Grace) of Ohio, Stepfather Ron Graus of Columbus, siblings Patrick (Julie) Kaasch, John (Susan)Kaasch, half-brother Sam Graus (Hayley), half-sister Sarah Graus (Dustin), and step-brother Jason Michael Graus. She is also survived by grandchildren- Scotty, Tre, Jade, Kennedi, Trinidi, great granddaughter Alaia, several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Christine was proceeded in death by her father Michael J. Kaasch, mother Patricia Graus, brother Michael W. Kaasch, infant sister Cathryn Kaasch, as well as both maternal and paternal grandparents.
