Cathy Davis, 65, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Sunday, February 26, 2023, at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, after a lengthy illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 4 at 10:00 AM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with Fr. Patrick Harrison celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home with a 7:00 PM vigil service. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:00 AM until Mass time on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Krakow. Memorials may be directed to those of the family or donor's choice.

Catherine Marie (Eschliman) Davis was born May 6, 1957, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Everette and Irene (Boro) Eschliman. She was baptized at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and received her first communion and was confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pilsno, Nebraska. Cathy worked summers detasseling and did janitorial work at David City High School. She graduated from David City High School in 1975. Cathy was united in married to Gary Lee Davis on May 2, 1975, in Yankton, South Dakota. Together they had two children - Bobbie Jo and Jeremy.

Cathy worked a variety of jobs throughout her life including thrift stores, factory work and managing a bar and Picket Fence Café just to name a few. Anyone who knew Cathy knew she loved animals, even the ones who visited her door nightly knowing she loved animals and would feed them. She especially loved her cats. Cathy also loved her truck and took pride in all the bling it just had to have on it.

Brothers: Dan and Dorothy Eschliman of Columbus, NE; Alan and Trish Eschliman of Minden, NE; and Everette "Butch" and Grace Eschliman, Jr. of Fremont, NE
Fur kids: Lizzy and Mr Kitty
Several nieces, nephews, and cousins
