Brent Windedahl, 52, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, July 14, 2023, at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 20 at 7:00 PM, at Gass Haney Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Thelen officiating.  Brent has been honored and recognized in saving lives as an organ and tissue donor.

Brent was born November 16, 1970, in De Smet, South Dakota, to Alan and JoAnn (Harmon) Windedahl.  His family moved to Columbus, Nebraska, where he graduated from Columbus High School in 1989.

Brent married Amy Shields and later divorced.  To their union, three daughters were born.  His love for his daughters was so deep and was shown every time he was with them.  Their personalities were so much like their dads.  They would always be laughing, and the girls would pick on him every chance they got, and Brent loved every moment of it.

Brent was a welder most of his life.  He was a perfectionist, and most of his employers would commend him on his great work.  He had many hobbies that included archery, hunting, fishing, fast cars (especially his Pontiac) and just spending time with his daughters and his girlfriend, Jan.

Daughters – Brooke, Brenna, and Kylee
Parents – Alan and JoAnn Windedahl of SD
Brothers – Cory of Norfolk, NE; Aaron (Lisa) of Columbus, NE; and Tait of SD
Nieces and nephews
Best Friend and companion – Janice Euteneuer

Brent's friends will be organizing a Celebration of Life which will be held at a later date.
