Betty Bruner, 88, of Columbus, Nebraska, died, Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Emerald Nursing & Rehab in Columbus.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 29, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Pastor Ollie Fullmer officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, from 9:00 AM until service time, also at the funeral home. Private family interment will be held at a later date in the Shelton Cemetery in Shelton, Nebraska.

Elizabeth Ann Bruner was born on December 13, 1934, in Odell, Nebraska to Herman and Lucille (Moffitt) Saathoff. After graduating high school, she attended Capitol Beauty School and worked as a hair stylist for 42 years in Columbus. On June 2, 1957, Betty was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Bruner in Rising City, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Columbus until retiring and moving to Mountain Home, Arkansas. After Bob's death, Betty moved back to Columbus to be closer to family.
