Barbara Glaser, 73, of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Columbus, Nebraska, died Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Bryan Medical Center East Campus in Lincoln.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8 at 11:00 AM, at Gass Haney Funeral Chapel with Rev. Adam Lassen officiating.  Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus.  There will be a visitation on Thursday from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the funeral home, and continue Friday from 10:30 AM until service time, also at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to those of the family or donor's choice.

Barbara Jean was born on June 16, 1951, at St. Mary's Hospital in Columbus, Nebraska, to Stanley, Sr. and Goldie (Schultz) Staroscik.  She graduated from Scotus Central Catholic High School in Columbus in 1969.  Barb married Carl (Bill) W. Glaser in Reno, Nevada, in 1970.  The couple moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, during Carl's military service.  After Carl's military discharge, they returned to Columbus where they farmed west of Columbus until Carl's death in 1996. In 2000, Barb moved to Lincoln to be near her children.

Barb graduated from Southeast Community College in 2011, with an associate's degree in accounting.  She was employed at the Nebraska Service Center (Immigration and Naturalization Service contractor) up until her passing.
