Arlan D. Ahlers, 86, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Genoa LTC in Genoa, Nebraska.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29 at 10:30 AM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Longacre officiating.  Interment will be in  Zion Lutheran Grand Prairie Cemetery north of Columbus.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM and continue Friday from 9:30 AM until service time, all at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested as those of the donor's or family choice.

Arlan was born March 8, 1939, in Belgrade, Nebraska, to George and Hilda (Sundermann) Ahlers.  He began farming the family farm in Belgrade at an early age.  On December 8, 1962, Arlan was united in marriage to Faye Gehring in Columbus.  The couple settled on a farm north of Columbus.  Arlan drove a maintainer and was a heavy equipment operator for Platte County until his retirement.

Granddaughter – Makalia Robertson of Columbus, NE

Brother-in-law – Arlyn (Millie) Hausmann of Conroe, TX
Niece – Elizabeth Schaer of Conroe, TX
