Dorla Dean Iverson, 76, of St. Edward, Nebraska, formerly of Columbus, died Sunday, November 2, 2008, at the Cloverlodge Care Center in St. Edward. A memorial service will be held on
Saturday, November 8, 11:00 A.M. at the St. Edward Cemetery with Father
Novotny officiating. There will be a luncheon at the St. Edward Catholic
Church following the committal service. In lieu of flowers, please make
a donation in Dee's name to the Dee Iverson Cheerleading Memorial at the
Cornerstone Bank in St. Edward, NE. We would also like to share
some words that Dee carried around with her, "If you must bury
something, let it be my faults, my weaknesses and all my prejudice
against my fellow man. If, by chance, you wish to remember me, do
it with a kind deed or Dorla Dean Iverson was born June 9, 1932, in St. Edward, Nebraska, to Waldo and Lola (Thomazin) Iverson. Dorla grew up in St. Edward and graduated from St. Edward High School in 1950. Dorla lived in Columbus, Fremont, and Grand Island, Nebraska, and also live in Iowa, Oregon, Colorado, and Missouri, but she always found her way back home to St. Edward. Dorla enjoyed dancing, bowling, doing needlework, genealogy, Nebraska football, and Boston Terrier dogs.
