In Memory Of

Alma Prang

 

Alma Prang, 103, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, February 24, 2006, at the Beverly Healthcare in Columbus.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 1, 10:30 A.M. at the Creston Baptist Church, Creston, Nebraska  with Rev. Eric Heisel officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Creston. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and Wednesday from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 10:15 A.M.

Alma was born July 28, 1902 in Platte County, Nebraska to Henry and Dorothea (Benthack) Wetgen. She attended District #72 school and also Columbus High School. On February 2, 1926, Alma married Adolph Prang in rural Columbus.  They farmed in Stanton County for several years before moving to a farm west of Creston. Alma moved to Columbus after Adolph's death and went to work at Dale Electronics where she worked for 10 years before retiring. Alma was a member of Redeemer Baptist Church in Columbus until its closing and then rejoined the Creston Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher, was president of several ladies groups, and regularly attended a weekly Bible Study Group.

Alma is survived by several nieces and nephews
