Irma E. Marty, 87 of Columbus, Nebraska, died Thursday, July 4, 2002 at the Beverly Health Care in Columbus.  

Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church Columbus, NE on Tuesday, July 09, 2002 at 2:30 PM with Rev. Richard Bringewatt officiating. Interment will be at the Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Rural Columbus. Visitation will be held at Gass Haney Funeral Home on Monday, from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM and at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Tuesday, from 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM with a family prayer service at 2:15 P.M.

Irma E. Marty was born November 9, 1914 in Leigh, Nebraska to Gottfried and Maria (Brock) Marty. She attended Christ Lutheran School in rural Columbus. Irma worked in Columbus at the former Boyd Hardware Store and at Becton Dickinson for 22 years. She was active in the church and a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and formerly in the choir and the Walther League.
