Ruth Elaine Krumland, 80, of St. Charles, Missouri, formerly of Columbus, Nebraska, died Saturday, August 24, 2002 at Garden View Care Center in O'Fallon, Missouri . Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus on Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Roland A. Jank and Rev. Richard Bringewatt officiating. Interment will be at the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. 

Visitation will be held at Gass Haney Funeral Home on Monday, August 26, 2002 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM and at Immanuel Lutheran Church Columbus, NE on Tuesday, from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM. There will be a family prayer service at 9:45 AM on Tuesday at the church.  Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran School, Alzheimer's Association or donors choice.

Ruth Elaine Krumland was born April 13, 1922 in St. Edward, Nebraska to George and Bess (Novotny) Price. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in St. Edward. Ruth attended grade school and high school in St. Edward.  She later attended business school in Sioux City, Iowa.  Ruth and Harold Krumland were united in marriage on November 7, 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas. After the war, Ruth and Harold made their home in Columbus, where they owned and operated Boulevard Lanes for many years. Ruth was a long time and faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus where she was a member of the Evening Guild. She worked for many years at Sears in Columbus and enjoyed her grandchildren, playing cards, family outings at the river and playing scrabble.
