Gerald Clem Sliva, 59,
of Platte Center, Nebraska, died November 21, 2000 at his daughters home
in Mukilteo, Washington. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church,
Platte Center, Nebraska, on Saturday, November 25, 2000 at 10:30 AM with Father Rodney Kneifl officiating. Interment will be at the St. Joseph-St. Patrick Cemetery in
rural Platte Center.
Visitation will be held at Gass Haney Funeral Home on Friday, from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM and
after 6:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Vigil Service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2000 at 7:30 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Gerald C. Sliva, 59, was born September 6, 1941 in Genoa, Nebraska to Clement and Frances (Vetick) Sliva. He graduated from Platte Center High School, Platte Center, Nebraska. He married Maxine Foltz on May 29, 1962 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. On July 21, 1960 he entered the Marines and was honorably discharged on July 20, 1964. For 18 years he worked in the maintenance department at
Camaco, in Columbus, Nebraska.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. He loved hunting and fishing and the out
doors. He especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren, bike riding, fishing, and playing games with them.
