Patrick Jon Thomas Becher, 31, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Monday, December 11, 2000 at the Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus.  Services are Thursday, December 14, 2000, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus with the Rev. Richard Bringewatt officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2000 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and on Thursday, December 14 from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. A family prayer service will be held on Thursday at 10:15 AM at the church.

Patrick Jon Thomas Becher, 31, was born February 13, 1969 in Columbus to Lowell and Monica (Wunderlich) Becher. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School through the 8th grade, Columbus Jr. High and graduated from Columbus High School in 1987. He furthered his education at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska and received his Bachelor Degree in Psychology and Health Promotion Management in 1991. From 1991 to 1996, Pat worked for Columbus Family Support Center. He then worked in family support work until 1997. In 1998, Pat became the District Executive for the Mid America Council, Boy Scouts of America, Petah La Shauro District.

On Nov. 23, 1996, Pat married Jill Johnson at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus where they were members. Pat enjoyed basketball, golf, hunting, fishing, baseball, softball, bowling and skiing. He was also active in the local chapter of Kiwanis. He especially enjoyed his time with family and friends.
